Disaster Management Interoperability Services
About DMI-Services Instruction Materials, Modes, and Tracks:

With the exception of the two practical exercise scripts, DMIS teaching materials consist of Microsoft PowerPoint slides and notes pages.  When taught in classroom mode, the instructor speaks to the points on the slides using the notes pages; students interact in discussions and exercises.  When self-instructing, the student only reads the notes pages while viewing associated slides.  Since the objective of DMIS is collaborative information sharing, classroom instruction is more effective.  Self-instruction is a faster option that recognizes the high training demand for other skills already experienced by most responders.
